Samsung's Galaxy Note 12.2 specs appear on AnTuTu, benchmark shows impressive performance
Samsung's 12.2-inch slate (SM-P905) has been onour radars for months now, and it would finally appear that the gigantic tablet is ready for prime time, or at least so it seems.

A new leak, posted on AnTuTu's blog, gives us a rather extensive look at the internals of Sammy's new device, and the view is very pretty, indeed. We're getting some very top-of-the-line specs with the Note 12.2, including a 1600x2560 pixel screen, a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 chipset, along with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 8MP/2MP duo of cameras at the rear and the front, respectively. If these weren't enough to spice up the deal, then an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box might.

Or perhaps some beastly performance. Of course, as much is pretty much guaranteed when you enter Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 into the equation, yet it's worth noting that an AnTuTu score of 35,901, considering the sharp resolution, is nevertheless impressive. This tablet is no wimp, and a comparison with the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) shows as much – the extra resolution does slow down the Note 12.2, as the configuration has to power more pixels, but 3D and RAM performance is king.

There's, unfortunately, still no word as to when we may see the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 – previous rumors never panned out. Nevertheless, it's probably safe to assume that we'll be seeing Sammy's biggest tab yes before the year has run its course.

As seen in the graph above, performance-wise the Exynos-powered Note 10.1 (2014) handles integer and floating-point CPU operations more successfully, while the Note 12.2 delivers better results in 3D processing

A little over a week ago the LG Nexus 5 made asurprise appearance on Google Play’s website, though it wasn’t too long before the page was pulled right back down. Whether a mistake or intentional trolling on Google’s part, it certainly got our attention.
Now a similar move has been made by the Canadian carrier, WIND Mobile.
Just a few hours ago, WIND Mobile took to theirFacebook page, posting up a pre-registration page for the LG Nexus 5. As you see in the screenshot above, the page had the tagline “Google Nexus 5. The smart, new phone made to capture the moments that matter”.
We all know that Google has yet to unveil the Nexus 5, so it was only a matter of time before the page was pulled down. With the page gone, it’s possible that this was yet another teaser or someone at WIND Mobile just messed up and posted the page ahead of schedule.
What’s interesting about the pre-registration page was that, during its brief time online, it listed what it claimed to be official device specs:
    • Screen: 4.95-inch 1920×1080 display (445 ppi) Corning Gorilla Glass 3
    • Cameras: 1.3MP front facing 8MP rear facing OIS
    • Weight: 130 grams
    • Dimensions: 69.17 x 137.84 x 8.59 mm
    • Operating System: OS Android 4.4, KitKat
    • Chip Set: 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor
    • Connectivity: Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G) 802.11 a/b/g/n/ncNFC (Android Beam) / Bluetooth 4.0
    • Storage / Memory / Ram: 16GB or 32GB internal storage 2GB RAM
    • Ports & Connectors: microUSB, SlimPort enabled, 3.5mm stereo audio jack, Dual microphones, Ceramic power and volume buttons
Now we are left wondering: did WIND Mobile simply gather up the already rumored specs and use the existing leaked press image, or are the Nexus 5’s specs finally confirmed? It’s really hard to say for sure – though at this point I’d say that it seems pretty likely that these specs will hold (mostly) true.
While we don’t know exactly when Google plans to unveil the Nexus 5 or Android 4.4 KitKat, at least tomorrow’s Google Google+ event should tide us over with some (hopefully) interesting Google+ news

The official measurements give us an opportunity to compare the Nexus 5 to the Nexus 4. The new phone will be less than 3mm taller, under 1mm wider, and about half a millimeter thinner. The Nexus 5 will also weigh 130g to the Nexus 4's 139g. Not bad for a phone with a larger screen.

On another front, a user on Neogaf posted pictures of several pallets of Nexus 5s in a Canadian LG distribution center. It seems Canada is absolutely overflowing with Google's new flagship phone. Please send some of them down this way, guys

One of the very well known leaker on the web, Evleaks, has tipped us with yet another press render with White color being showcased, and they even tipped us with the date of announcement, which would possibly be 1st November.
The renders show that the phone isn’t entirely white, and thus looks more appealing because of the white front color. That could be either the October 31st or November 1st as the 1/11 date can be when the phone gets launched.

Nexus 5 Android Phone was supposed to get announced on 18th this month alongside Kit Kat Android 4.4 OS, but unfortunately we got to hear no announcement. Though, Google didn’t launch the details about the Nexus 5 officially, the listing of Nexus 5 accidentally got leaked on Google PLAY Store. Though, the Gooogle Store Link is dead now, many of them managed to sneak through on how this Nexus 5 looks like. Its almost the same as the few concepts which we all must have seen somewhere. We have also mentioned the picture of NEXUS 5.

We caught Google promoting this product as “Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways. Starting at $349″. The pricing of this starts from $349 if we go as per the listing and is only available in Black Color to start with. I will keep you posted about all the latest on Nexus 5.

LG has now officially announced the LG G2 Flex smartphone, with the OLED display finally coming into the scene, and it’s a 6-inch OLED display with the 720p HD resolution, and under the hood, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocking at 2.26 GHz and the phone would be running the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
The G Flex from LG has got a 13-megapixel rear camera with the LED flash and there is a 2.1-megapixel camera on the front side. The curved plastic OLED display in this smartphone has the real RGB sub pixels for the better color output, and there is a concavity in the display from the top to bottom. The battery included in the G Flex has a capacity of 3500 mAh, and it’s made by LG Chem.

    • Face Detection Indicator
    • LG Knock-On Guest Mode
    • Q Theater to launch gallery
    • Swing Lockscreen
    LG G Flex Curve

    LG G Flex Specifications

    • 6-inch capacitive touchscreen, OLED display
    • 1280 x 720 pixels screen resolution

Tech website MMXNewscaster has leaked specifications of this upcoming device
According to an image released by MMXNewscaster, the upcoming Canvas Turbo will have a 5-inch screen with Full HD (1920x1080p) resolution. All top end smartphones today have flagship models with Full HD displays. The image also shows a 5MP front camera and dual-sim functionality. 2520_350“It’s a complete package,” product manager Paul Bischof told Conversations. “It takes everything you’ve got in your desktop or laptop and crams all that into a device that’s only 8.9mm thick and weighs a little over a pound.”

    True mobile companion

A true child of Nokia’s mobile heritage, the Lumia 2520 is made to support life on the go, designed for mobility, reliability, longevity and with a unique sense of style and colour.
The Nokia Lumia 2520 is ideal for life on the move, with features that extend its usefulness out and about. The high definition 1080p, 10.1-inch screen is made using Gorilla Glass 2 for toughness, and has been made to give less reflection than other tablets in the marketplace, a superior brightness range to see your content in different lighting environments, as well as a wide-viewing angle, for sharing or presenting. A 4G LTE modem and WiFi ensure lightning fast communications wherever you are.
2530_coloursPaul explains that the components, including the punchy Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor were selected for flawless performance from the touch-screen OS, without soaking up the battery. “The system is designed to selectively cut down power consumption when it’s not needed,” he explains.
While it’s running a full computer operating system, the Lumia 2520’s battery is capable of such feats as playing video for ten hours non-stop without a charge. The battery also offers a quick start with its ultra-fast charging time. It can go from zero to 80 per-cent charged in an hour.
Alongside the Nokia Lumia 2520, we’re releasing the Nokia Power Keyboard, a natural companion for the new device. It offers a keyboard with a touchpad, of course, but also wraps right round the tablet to offer complete protection without needing a separate case. The Power Keyboard also contains an extra battery for up to five hours extra use, plus two USB ports, for whatever other accessories you wish to attach.

    Media darling

On the back, there’s a high quality 6.7-megapixel camera with ZEISS optics and an f1.9 aperture that delivers great low light performance. This is supported by two new apps from Nokia – Storyteller and Video Director, which will help you make the most of the media you capture and create. On the front, a secondary 2-megapixel camera allows for crystal clear video calls. We’ll be describing Storyteller and Video Director in more detail in separate posts.

The Windows RT 8.1 operating system offers a complete Microsoft Outlook and Office experience, preinstalled, at no extra cost. Also, from Nokia, you’ll find a new version of HERE Maps, making this the first tablet with a true offline mapping capability. There’s also Nokia Music onboard, for free streaming and offline Mixes.
Presented in red, cyan, white and black, the Nokia Lumia 2520 will initially be available for sale in the US, UK and Finland at an estimated price of USD 499 before local taxes and subsidies. It will be spreading to other markets shortly after.

Presented in red, cyan, white and black, the Nokia Lumia 2520 will initially be available for sale in the US, UK and Finland at an estimated price of USD 499 before local taxes and subsidies. It will be spreading to other markets shortly after.

According to Ilkka Husgafvel, the lead industrial designer for the Lumia 1520, “Purity was one of the main drivers in the creation of this device, along with understanding the scale available in the large screen. We aimed to create a device that feels thin and comfortable in the hand: it’s only 8.7mm deep.”
The phone features ceramic keys on the side, and subdued icons at the front. It will be available in four Lumia colors (white, yellow, red and black): the black phone is made of recycled materials.

    20 October 2013

The Android 4.4 KitKat version was recently announced and it is soon to be officially launched by Google when they would be coming up with the next version of Nexus, the Nexus 5 device. But it would always be a guessing game for the users, to see whether the 4.4 update would be coming to their device or not. With most of the high-end devices that were launched recently, one can easily expect that they would be receiving the KitKat update, but for the earlier devices, you will have to wait to see whether the manufacturer is deciding to send the update and whether the device hardware would be able to support it.

For now, keep checking the list below (updated daily) as soon as we get the information from the sources on the devices which are going to get the next big version of Android OS.
    Android Phones KitKat Update

Samsung Phones to get Android 4.4 Update

For now, there is an internal Samsung Knox document which was leaked, and which showed a few devices which are going to get the Android 4.4 update, and the document actually showed the devices which would get the Samsung Knox in the coming update. The devices are as follows:
The Galaxy S3 and Note II have been facing a few regional lock issues and that is what is prompting Samsung to come up with a major update on these devices, as confirmed by one of the Samsung representatives. But again, the document mentions it is the S3 which has 2GB of RAM, and that is the U.S. version which might be getting the update, and the International users might have to wait and watch if Samsung has made it ready for their devices too or not.

Sony Phones to get Android 4.4 Update

There was a recent leak showing that the Sony Xperia Z1, the latest flagship device from the company, might be getting the Android 4.4 update and this is quite more than just rumors because Sony won’t be ignoring this year’s flagship models while preparing the updates. Here’s a list of devices:
The Xperia Z1 has still got the Android 4.2 version, and hasn’t got the 4.3 update, but if Sony decides to skip that and goes directly to the 4.4 KitKat version, that should be a good news to the users waiting for an update.

HTC Phones to get Android 4.4 Update

The HTC One Max is to be announced very soon, and that should be anyways getting the update after the launch, but the devices which are expected to get the Android 4.4 KitKat update after its launch, includes HTC One.

Well, it seems the land of rumors and speculation has a thing for the Galaxy S5 at the moment, as a fresh new rumor has landed regarding Samsung’s inevitable flagship – according to AndroidSaS, the Galaxy S5 will feature an eye sensor, which would take security one step further thanfingerprint scanners by scanning your eyes for performing actions such as unlocking the device. Talk about wanting to one-up your competitors with a single gigantic leap.
The rumor has no credible source, so look at it with a very suspicious eye (see what I did there?). It sounds too fantastical, though if Samsung were to implement eye-scanning tech in the Galaxy S5, at least it would be safer than fingerprint technology – after all, people are less likely to cut out your eye than your finger to gain access to your phone, right?

We still haven't heard anything official about Google's next Nexus phone, but tonight some people are already seeing the Nexus 5 as an option in the Play Store. Just among our editors, some see the outgoing Nexus 4 while others get the result shown after the break, with a 16GB (from the link in the page, although it doesn't go anywhere) Nexus 5 listed for $349, along with the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. Previous leaks have given us a good look at the outside while a service manual gave up the internal details: 1080p 4.95-inch display, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU, LTE and storage capacity that tops out at 32GB. These screenshots show the Hangouts app where we'd usually expect our SMS icon to be, which is among the software changes we're expecting when this new device arrives with Android 4.4 KitKat some time in the future -- possibly around October 28th.

have been rumored around the internet almost as long as the full sized model. This Sony Xperia Z1 Mini as it was known (Honami Mini) was said to be big on specs, while small in overall stature. Today, during the same NTT DoCoMo event that confirmed the Samsung Galaxy J, the Sony Xperia Z1 f (Mini) too was finally announced, arriving on the Japanese carrier later this year.

. Where the Moto X arguably skimped on specs, the Z1 f goes all out, coming in hot with the same powerful Snapdragon 800 processor and 20.7MP Exmor RS as the big Z1. Sony pulled no punches when it came to this phone.

The Z1 f isn’t due out in Japan until late December, so there’s no telling when (or even if) this little device will ever make its way to other markets. With the current trend of “bigger means better” Android devices, the world could use a few more high-powered petite devices like the Sony Xperia Z1 f.

    Samsung-Flexible-Display
The Galaxy Round, which is expected to be announced this week as the first smartphone with a flexible display, will have the same specs as the Galaxy Note 3, according to a report published by ETNews, and will be launched in Korea by SK Telecom just a few days after going official.
According to Rbmen, the screen will be of 5.7-inches and will be curved along the contours (sides) of the device, making it fit the shape of a person’s face when making a call. The curved screen will also improve the experience when watching movies or playing games, while the resolution will remain at 1080p. Other specs will reportedly include a Snapdragon 800 processor and Android 4.3, though it’s not expected to be compatible with the S Pen, which should help keep the cost down (though it’ll still be priced pretty high).
As always, nothing is confirmed right now, but if rumours hold true, we should be getting all the details on the Galaxy Round within a fortnight.
