LG has now officially announced the LG G2 Flex smartphone, with the OLED display finally coming into the scene, and it’s a 6-inch OLED display with the 720p HD resolution, and under the hood, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocking at 2.26 GHz and the phone would be running the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
The G Flex from LG has got a 13-megapixel rear camera with the LED flash and there is a 2.1-megapixel camera on the front side. The curved plastic OLED display in this smartphone has the real RGB sub pixels for the better color output, and there is a concavity in the display from the top to bottom. The battery included in the G Flex has a capacity of 3500 mAh, and it’s made by LG Chem.
LG says that because the body is curved, the speaker on the back doesn’t touch the base of the table or floor and thus the sound from it comes more clearly. The back panel has got a self healing technology, where the scratches can be removed in a few minutes. The power and volume buttons are placed on the back and there are quite a lot of features which are similar to that in the LG G2. Some of the software inclusions are as follows:
- Dual-window for multitasking
- Face Detection Indicator
- LG Knock-On Guest Mode
- Q Theater to launch gallery
- Swing Lockscreen
There is no word on the pricing and availability, but LG said that the G Flex would be coming in Titan Silver color from next month in Korea.
