The next flagship devices from LG are already being rumored, after the recent launches of the LG G2, LG G Flex and the G Pro (out of the Optimus series under which the Android phones were launched), and the latest one in the rumors is the LG G Pro 2, which is said to be making a debut in a month from now, at the Mobile World Congress 2014 event in Barcelona. This should be the right time for LG to come up with the new flagship device, as the rumored LG G3 isn’t coming anytime in the first half of 2014.
The G Pro 2 would be a good sized phablet with the 6-inch display, which should be an HD one and these are the specs shared by ETNews from Korea. Taking a step ahead from its predecessor, the LG G Pro 2 should be coming with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (the G Pro had the Snapdragon 600 chipset) and interestingly, the RAM is also going to be upgraded from here, as the G Pro 2 is said to be coming with the 3GB of RAM (the G Pro and G2 had 2GB RAM). If this is true, the G Pro 2 would be a perfect competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which has a variant with Snapdragon 800 and 3GB of RAM.
Connectivity wise, the rumored phablet is going to have the LTE-A support for some areas such as Korea, and the OS that would be seen out-of-the-box is Android 4.4 KitKat. LG’s interface in the G2 and the other flagships is quite interesting, and LG would be looking to provide some more features with better support for the multitasking, which should be a USP for the device when launched.
The other details are not yet known, and whatever is listed above is just a part of the rumors as no information is officially leaked, but the news that LG would be looking to announce this during the MWC 2014 (along with the LG G2 Mini) would gain quite a lot of attention. Let’s see what LG has planned, in a month from now
